Do you need a fresh perspective?

"Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be. Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? My brothers and sisters, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water." James 3:10-12

A breathe of fresh air …

Fresh, clean bed linen …

Bread fresh from the oven …

A fresh perspective …

These are the first things that come to my mind; fresh. Some are luxuries, some are choices. I may not always have the luxury of fresh warm bread. Many have never felt the smoothness and comfort of sliding into a freshly made clean bed of their own. There are people out there who do not always have clean air to breathe.

We can all have a fresh perspective, that is our choice. We get to choose how we will look at not only ourselves, but the world around us. Each day we can choose to lay our worries, fears, doubts, hurts, our entire lives, at the feet of Jesus. To let Him fill us with His spirit, to guide us, to strengthen us. We can have a fresh perspective, by keeping our eyes fixed on Him. By choosing to love, choosing to forgive, choosing to feast on Godly things.

Do you need a fresh perspective? I often do. Take it to God. Ask a friend to pray for you, or better, with you.

Often this choosing to change, to forgive, to let go, is not easy. It is often the most difficult things that are so beautifully rewarding; lay it down.

“Let us acknowledge the Lord; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.” Hosea 6:3
